Condors!

Yesterday afternoon I made it out to Santuario Animal de Cochahuasi (http://santuariocochahuasi.com/english/), an animal sanctuary that rescues animals from illegal trades, including Macaw, Puma, and many others. They also have rescued some Condors, the largest flying bird on the planet. They are endangered as they only lay one egg every 5 years. There is a breeding pair they have at the sanctuary who's offspring they release back into the wild. The condor in the video below is 60 years old! The first condor that flew down did so while I had my back turned, and I turned around just as it whooshed by 3 feet from my face, what a shock!

More pictures to come!
