The Jungle

Tomorrow I leave Arequipa on a 16 hour overnight bus, and arrive in Lima around 9-10 in the morning. That afternoon (Thursday) I fly to Iquitos. The next day (Friday) I will start my jungle tour, which I have booked with Huacari Tours. Right now it is set up for 3 days and 2 nights, but I can add on more time as I desire. I fly back to Lima the following Wednesday.morning. I havent made any solid plans for that yet, but I am thinking I will catch another night bus up to Huanchaco, just outside of Trujillo, where I can do combination Spanish and Surfing lessons.

The jungle trip looks to be pretty exciting. The only problem I am having is finding malarial prophylaxis. It appears they do not have my preferred choice here in Peru, so I will likely have to settle for doxycycline (which entails 28 days of taking the medicine AFTER leaving!). Hopefully that doesnt cause any problems with the sun!

No more pictures yet, I took so many at Machu Picchu that its a bit of a task to get it organized, and I probably wont be doing any of that in the jungle.
